Journeying Through the Scriptures

John's gospel record was the last to be written and a commentary on the other gospel records. This book reveals Christ's relationship both to the Father and to those who put their faith in Him. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, promises to bring all who believe into the family of God. 

The Son of God's favorite title for Himself was "Son of Man." He became man without ceasing to be God to bring men to God! Dr. Luke shows us the perfect humanity of Christ and how His desire to save every man from sin.

Our God is a God of action! Mark, the shortest of the gospel records, shows us the works of Christ and the heart of the perfect Servant. 

The first gospel record serves as an appropriate transition from the old covenant to the new. Matthew makes plain that the Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Jesus of the New Testament. He is the King.
