Need of a Nation

The greatest need of our nation is spiritual. The greatest work we can do is pray. We conclude our study of Psalm 85, the patriot's prayer, with specific things to pray for the nation that we love.

When we say, "God bless America" for what do we pray? Today we learn a biblical pattern of prayer for our country. Scripture provides a guide of how to pray for America.

Patriotism and Christianity are not the same thing, but those who follow Christ should love their country. LIke Israel, our own nation, is in desperate need of divine intervention. It is time for God's people to pray.

As decency seems to crumble all around us, God's people must determine to stay right with God. These twin psalms of David detail four specific things that we must do in perilous times. You can't do everything but you can do something.
